Mat Maneri/ Lucian Ban duo ready for ECM release and tour in 2013

Twice nominated in 2005 & 2006 for the Hans Koller “Best European Jazz Musician Preis“, pianist, composer & arranger Lucian Ban  meets up with 2006 Grammy Nominee for “Best Alternative Album” Mat Maneri to create something spectacular. 



The album is due for release via ECM Recordings (with whom Maneri already recorded for since 1999)  in April 2013. Much more about very very soon!!

The two musicians have first collaborated in the award winning third stream extravaganza Enesco Re-Imagined, a CD that appeared on many critics “Best of 2010” lists and featured a stunning group of musicians – Badal Roy, Tony Malaby, Ralph Alessi, John Hebert, Gerald Cleaver among others - in a daring re-imagining of the works of famed romanian violin virtuoso George Enescu. Lucian Ban & Mat Maneri also colead "Angels of repose" - a quartet featuring drummer Randy Peterson and bassist Drew Gress.

European tour.
Now they are scheduled for their  European tour in 2013 , and PG Special Agent is very proud to be able to produce the tour.

May 10 – 28 in Europe.

Just added Simon Toldam Trio on the rooster for 2013 booking. Will be looking forward bringing out this wonderful trio live in they year to come.

 These guys are amazing. Fresh, stylish and  they can play music. Han Bennink, John Tchicai, Marilyn Mazur, Tom Rainy, Eivind Aarset, Nils Petter Molvær, Dave Douglas, Peter Brötzman, Evan Parker , Dave Liebman, Tim Berne, Carsten Dahl and many more, have already enjoyed playing with them in various constellations/ releases.

Their recent album, ”Sunshine Sunshine or Green as Grass” (ILK) has recieved awards and fantastisc press. One many ”Top album” lists for 2012. And its actually an live album, so you get a good idea, how they can play and get the club swinging.

In Denmark Stella Polaris is known for presenting contemporary and highly acclaimed artists and the event this night is no exception. Jazz live in the heart of Copenhagen at Charlottenborg and Strasbourg



Jazz is coming back to the heart of Copenhagen as PG Special Agent  and Café Charlottenborg once again are opening the doors for the winter jazz nights feat. Modern + impro jazz talents from the European jazz scene.

It will be for three concerts at Charlottenborg and two in France during Jazzdor in November.

ONE SPOT Jazz – Exchange with Jazzdor in Strasbourg.

The concerts in Strasbourg with Jazzdor is the harvest of our cooperation with the French organizers, where we find musicians and program them with French and Danish jazz soloists for a duo session.

ONE SPOT Jazz at Charlottenborg

ONE SPOT at Charlottenborg offers 3 concerts of contemporary jazz & improvisation from the European / Danish jazz scene. Among other things, is the premiere of the Swiss trombone player Samuel Blasers new trio with Danish Peter Bruun (dr) and French Marc Ducret (gu).

But we open the series with the first concert on 08 November Niels Lyhne Løkkegaard (sax), which makes his teammates in a very special task.

November 15  takes a little more electronica vibe, and it's a special for these events. Dodebum aka Henrik Sundh, who last visited the house in December with Osgood and Marie Lurette Friis (almost all Tys Tys members for the first timepalying live together again), this time solo. With the accompaniment of Sune Petersen and his unique drum machine ..

Bro/Knak live! World Live premier with Løkkegaards "Vesper" at Jazzhus Monmarte...and Samuel Blaser in Malmö!!

I have just finished the first European tour with Jakob Bro / Thomas Morgan / Jon Christensen. 10 jobs in 11 days. Criss-crossing the continent. Sold out and packed clubs. Young audience, lots of sold CDs and enthusiasm for Bro's music. Great to see that especially the young European audience shows great interest in jazz. Thank you to all the fantastic clubs and crews for the shows. Thanks for booking the band, and thank you all wonderful audience who came and enjoyed the music.

This week's Bro back in Denmark, where he will play 3 concerts with Bro / Knak set-up. A series of concerts feat. Jakob Bro (gu), Thomas Knak (electronics) and Sune Blicher (visuals)

This is the first time since their critically acclaimed debut at the festival, where Ekstra Bladet’s Peter Albrechten called it a true "Master Meeting".

NielsLyhne Løkkegaard presents WORLD LIVE PREMIER OF  "Vesper" at Jazzhus Montmarte on 30 October


Tuesday 30th of October Can you  also enjoy Bro’s talent..It happens with Niels Lyhne Løkkegaard and Løkkegaards live premier of “Vesper". The album “Vesper” was released earlier this year and highly acclaimed both in Denmark and abroad. Now his playing the whole album live for the first time. At the well-renowned Jazzhus Montmarte, and the line-up is according to the album including Niels Løkkegaard, Jacob Bro, Marilyn Mazur, Jacob Buchanan and 4 clarinets.
         







The Swiss trombone player Samuel Blaser is one of the up and coming stars from the Swiss jazz scene. Works with diverse musicians such as Gerald Cleaver, Paul Motian, Russ Loosing, Thomas Morgan.

Thanks to the wonderful JazzinMalmö crew Blaser can be introduced live with his Quartet at a free concert on the 01 November.
Blaser will return end december introducing his new trio feat. french gutiarist Marc Ducret and Danish drummer Peter Bruun.
