It is with great excitement that I now can introduce the new live trio from guitarist Jakob Bro. The trio will be available for touring in 2012, and their premier gig will be this summer during the jazz festival period. 
Jakob Bro will be joined live on stage with Norwegian drummer and ECM legend Jon Christensen as well as his "Time" basplayer; American Thomas Morgan.
Jakob Bro has enjoyed international acclaim during his work with late Paul Motian and part of the Tomasz Stanko Quintet (ECM Records). And with his two latest albums "Balladeering" (2009) and recent "Time" (2011), Jakob has established himself as one of the leading young jazz composers of the European jazz scene. From American jazz magazine Downbeat and All About Jazz to French Jazzman or Polen Jazz Forum his music is receiving fantastic reviews.
Jakob Bro has dreamed about working with Christensen for some time, and after working with Morgan on both August Rosenbaums "Beholder" from 2010 and during the recordings in the Avatar Studio in New York for the "Time" album, Bro wanted to include Morgan in a live setting.

The live material will introduce music from "Balladeering" and "Time" as well as new compostions especially for this trio.
