ECM
Recordings is one of the leading and most respected jazz labels in
the world. For many jazz musicians its an achievement being on ECM, a
dream coming true.
At
PG Special Agent I am working with two new projects that are related
to this fine establishment. The American duo Mat Maneri / Lucian Ban; coming out with their duo debut
for ECM entitled “Transsylvanian Concert”.
And the Italian
pianist and drummer Emanuele Maniscalco who is an artist just added
to the agency. I will work with him solo, and he is out now on ECM
with his trio “Third Reel” feat. Nicolas Masson (sax), Roberto
Pianca(gui) and Emanuele Maniscalco (dr).
Emanuele
Maniscalco (1983) is living and working in Copenhagen. Still a
student at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen supervised by
renowned Danish pianist Carsten Dahl ,where he will finish his Post Graduate as soloist in summer 2014. Emanuele is a very talented and versatile musician who
has both the drums and piano as “main instrument”. He has studied
in Italy and played on more than 15 releases as bandleader and
sideman via Italian labels in the past. His is working on various new projects and the moment. Among them is the trio THIRD REEL project out now on ECM feat Nicolas Masson (sax), Roberto Pianca(gui). Future release projects also include duo collaboration with US bass player Thomas Morgan.
Here
at PG I will focus on his solo work as well as his duo collaboration
with american bass player Thomas Morgan.
