Carsten Dahl Experience coming to Norway – Live + recording sessions.

Carsten Dahl Experience
Recording sessions

I find it to be one of the most exciting Quartet constellations in Danish Jazz. Full of spirituality, exciting interplay - Carsten Dahl Experience is one of a kind on the Scandinavian jazz scene.

Danish jazz pianist Carsten Dahl  established his Experience with some of his most favored jazz musicians on the Copenhagen jazz scene. Legendary Jesper Zeuthen on alto sax, high profiled drummer Stefan Pasborg and Nils Bosse Davidsen on bass. It all started with a concert at Copenhagen Jazz House in 2007. In 2008 they went to Rainbow Studio in Oslo to record their very first collection of music. ”Humilitas” - 10 compositions, which were released on the legendary Danish jazz label Storyville Records – a long time label partner for Carsten Dahl.

The Quartet came back to Rainbow in Oslo in 2011 to record the 2nd album ”Metamorphosis” and released in 2011 with 12 new compositions. Again, partly improvised, partly composed for the recording session.

Welcoming you to 2 unique concerts with Carsten Dahl Experience

Now they are returning to Norway for their 3rd recording session in Oslo at the legendary Rainbow Studio. Together with producer Jan Erik Kongshaug they will go into studio sessions for three days in June 2013. In connection to the recording sessions they invite jazz fans and music lovers to join them live at two special shows, that will be a kind of ”warming” up shows for the actual recordings.

01 June, Horten, Stallen Galleri. (Entré)
02 June, Oslo, Kampen Jazz. (Free)

They concert on the 2nd June is produced in assciocation with famous Jazznytt Magazine

The band will play special selections from their new album for the very first time. And if you are press and media and they will also be ready for interviews.

We hope to see you in Oslo for the World Premier of the forthcoming Carsten Dahl Experience album, to be released via Storyville Records.
